Ori Uplift, born in Washington, D.C. as Harpaul Alberto Kohli, is the owner and CEO of Abora Recordings and the host of the weekly radio podcast, Uplifting Only. After acquiring the Abora label in 2012, Ori focused on expanding the orchestral and emotional uplifting trance genre, aiming to establish a dedicated scene for it outside of traditional club music. Uplifting Only has developed a devoted and passionate fan base, consistently ranking as one of the top radio shows in the Trance Podium Awards from 2014 to 2016.
Ori’s mixes and compilations from the Uplifting Only show have seen impressive success on Beatport, with three compilations hitting the #1 spot and a total of eight mixes ranking in the top five. He has also built a strong reputation as a live DJ, closing for major artists like Aly & Fila and Bryan Kearney and headlining festivals such as Trancervatory.
These accomplishments have earned him recognition as an “Artist to watch out for” by Trance Hub, as he continues to uplift the public with beautiful euphoric uplifting melodies and sounds.
